Finally got around to trying the hammered blades and most came out really well, but you had to have a really light touch to have the hammered look come through with the glitter coat and two toned.

Ones on the left are Indianna and the ones to the right are minnow blades. The bottom center blade was the first one I did and got the powder too heavy!!! The rest came out pretty good

Yeah it's get the powder on the brush and tap a bunch back into the jar, you can always add more. I tried to do them at a slight angle so the powder wasn't heading right into the holes.

They came out good - you might lighten up the powder a bit with clear, the only other way to get it to coat the blade lighter would maybe be a spray powder gun, I'd have to run it through SJ as he does heads that way.

Nice job! Question though....Does it matter if the blade is plated (nickel/gold) or not? Will they accept powder paint either way. I was looking at hagens catalog and they had some that said "Raw for painting".

Thanks Plate

Andy I've painted a bunch of different blades, although not the raw ones. I don't see why they wouldn't but with that type of blade you'd have to coat both sides!!

Thanks Hookup
