I just got a In-Line Trolling Sinker mold, #3139, from Zeiners. I'll be using them trolling cranks from the front of the boat. I just poured some up and man, they eat the lead up. Lol.

I haven't cut the sprues off yet. You run a 4 ft leader behind it with a crankbait and you can let it down as deep as you want. I'm gonna try the Ala. rigs with horseheads tomorrow using the 2 oz sinkers.

I'm using a 12' jig pole. I pull 6 crankbaits on rod holders on the rear of the boat and I use the weights on poles in the front. They call it "pushing" a crankbait. I'm trolling at 1.7 mph and my line on the front "push" poles goes down at around 45 degrees with the crankbait swimming about 4 ft behind the weight. It does work.

How do ya keep the end of the jig pole out of the water? Gotta be bowed over pretty good while trolling the lure.

Ha Ha, the rod tip is bent over about a foot. I use B&M trolling poles. When you have six lines out the rear of the boat it just gives you another way to use a crankbait without getting tangled with your other lines.

Scott after pouring all those small jigs, you had to know those in-lines were gonna eat up the lead LOL 4oz's 16 1/16th jigs to an ounce roughly 64 jigs!!!!!!! you could have made instead!!!!!!!

The next time I go out I'll take some pics of the "pushing" technique. I use 12' graphite jig poles and I have the rods in rod holders. I have been using 3 oz bank sinkers tied on a six inch leader and snapped onto my line on a loop knot about four ft up the line from the crankbait. That way I could remove the weight when I stowed my rods. The in-line weights work great though. I have a four ft leader tied to the bottom of the weight and I can keep them wrapped on peices of swimming noodles. It really gets interesting when I have two push poles and run two planer boards from the front rod holders and I'm trolling six crankbaits from the rear rod holders. Lol
