..... Monday. I'm doing some track monitoring at the Dunlap Proving Grounds in Huntsville, Alabama and am wondering about road condition from you guys that live along the way.
Thought I was going to be flying, but with the oilfield business doing well all our contractors with CDLs have upgraded their jobs and I don't blame them one bite. Anyway haven't decided which way to go yet. I was wonder what condition I20 is in across Louisiana and Mississippi. And Also I30 and I40 across Arkansas, and Highway 72 from Memphis to Huntsville. Any help would be appreciated.

I20 through MS is in pretty good shape. Just west of Jackson, MS it's kinda bumpy and about 30 miles east of Jackson there's about a 20 mile stretch where all of the traffic is detoured to the west bound lanes. They have the east bound lanes torn out for resurfacing. Other than those two areas, it's in good shape all the way across MS.

Thank you Scott, I was wondering about that. I was thru there a couple years ago when I did a surface characterization at Talladega and it was in need of some attention then. Sure was a pretty drive though!!!

I think there's a fault line that crosses I20 there. They've already rebuilt the west bound lanes and they're doing the east bound now. Be nice if you had time to catch some crappie when you come through Meridian.

Yes sir, I would like to meet and visit and put a face to the name. I will probably take the northern route on Monday because it is a little shorter and the sooner I get Huntsville the sooner I finish. Of course sooner has nothing to do with going thru Little Rock hehehe, just kidding. It will depend on the timing and how long it takes to do the job. But for sure you can't travel thru crappie heaven and not take a jig pole along. Unless something changes my plan is to return on I20 and maybe visit with a cousin and his bride in Tuscaloosa. Should be thru there sometime Thursday or Friday. Thank you for the reply on the road conditions. I appreciate it...
