I was approached the other evening about tying a few of these. Anyone tied any, possibly a pattern to share?

I've used these, and always enjoyed taking long nose gar with them, since the traditional pattern uses NO HOOK (I'd tell friends that I've become so good that I don't even need hooks to catch fish!!) . So ,essentially, all you need is some hardware store white nylon rope that is combed out to just straight fibers(wire brush), then lashed to a hook shank that has the bend, barb and point cut off (or just a piece of straight wire). Gar attack these, until they chew and manage to wrap the nylon around their long snot and in those millions of teeth.(Really, this is not a joke!).
