Been wanting to get Pistol on water and learn some frogs, but its a much better experience in a motored boat. A buddies son offered a trip so away we went last night. He struggled on the first quite a many few, but was thigh deep in mud when he got his first n.
Didn't slay em but he had a blast and hope it'll be the first of many to come with me.

Yummoo! Those are some mighty big frogs. Congrats on the success.

Frying up some deliciousness or do you have a different way to cook them? Inquiring minds want to know......

That is Great!!! I'm sure he had a blast! I haven't ate frog legs in several years and I haven't been froggin in at least twenty. Seeing these pics brings back some memories! :D We had a small lake and like five very small ponds on the farm I grew up on. After my dad taught me how to gig I couldn't tell ya how many messes of em I brought home over the years we lived there. I can tell ya that mom began to get sick of fryin them. When I was a teenager I trained my dog to retrieve them after I shot them with my pellet gun or 22. That was a hoot let me tell ya. WoW now I'm wanting to go again!

......and next time tell him to at least crack a little smile while he is holding a FREE dinner in his hands. :P Guessing that free dinner doesn't mean much at that age though...... staying out late and killing critters is fun all in itself and deserves a smile.

Heck yes!!!!! Love me some frog legs. Good to see you got him out gigging, nothing like being in the dark with a gig and a light and a few friends and a few cold beers. :)

That's cool !!!! I love frog legs. The last bullfrogs I got were on rod and reel with a jig and my kids made me let them go. Last week when I was camping I heard a bunch of them but after fishing all day I was too tired to look for them.

Thx for the looks everyone. I dont participate like i should anymore.

I'm extremely proud of how aggressive he was. I was scared at first with his timid demeanor.

We gon fry em in fish fry tonight. Louisiana fish fry. Blue bag.
I had a few pics with smiles, but asked for his "frog hunting face" and it reminded me of me when I saw it, so that's the one I chose.

More motivation to get a boat.
