My favorite sage green craft fur forms the back of each jig. Barred brown, grayish-white, and sparkling tan fur comprises the bellies. Pearl, pearl red, or fluorescent fire orange krystal flash adds sparkle laterally along the sides of the jigs.

I wanted natural-looking minnows, so chose subdued colors with somewhat earthen tones. All jigs are tied on 1/16-ounce ball head jigs with #4 black nickel sickle hooks.

All look nice but the barred craft fur on the bellies stand out. Makes a good looking scale pattern.

Thanks AF. :) I think you're right about the barred fur. Those will be the first to get fished this winter.

I noticed and admired your craft fur jigs long before I found this board and always wondered how you keep the material from fowling. My 1/8th - 1/4th boolies are a complete mess after every fish - unless I glue the hair down to the hookbend surf-candy style.
Guess its the small size ?!

Very nice, I've not had a lot of luck with the craft fur. Might be that I have gotten spoiled using the deer and caribou.
