I have a few colors of spooled flash which I really like using. I just finished tying a handful of jigs with cut strands and got to thinking this would be a good subject for a survey. Myself, I constantly drop a cut fiber or loose one during the tying process. I do not have that problem with the spools. Unfortunately, cut flash is easier to find.

Anyhow, here goes.

I prefer mine stiff and straight for Boolie overtie accents to avoid bending or kinking towards the head and tangling the prop.

Softer more flexible is desirable for flutter tail underties. Have 3 unused spools of flash tinsel I might use for this app someday, but precut strands from hanks seem more convenient.
