Not much time lately to fish, so I paint any sec I can. These came out half way decent, but need to speed up the process..... To paint more.
Had to triple SH coat the heads to solve the gluing issue I'm having with eyes.
Looking for suggestions. Losing desire to tie anything, so any new materiak color combo suggestions w/ these heads would be welcomed also.

Did some minnerish ones similar to CH's I admire so much but don't have all correct materials. Sure they'll work though.

Nice paint, cool mask. I'm sure it would scare more than your son. Have Fun with it. That would be something to see when he first wakes up in the morning.

Don't think you can get much better than that silver minnow in the 2nd pict! For color suggestions - i like silver with ANYthing. Throw in some black and i am sold.

...he ain't swang at a baseball with the intentions to hit it since he got hit by a few pitches...

How old is your boy and what type league is he in? Dealing with something very similar with my 7yr son. Soon as the pitcher (6-9 year old kids, 3 innings kids pitch, 2 innings coach pitch) pulls back his arm to start to throw, my boy takes a step back. :-/ Then another 2 steps once the ball comes off the pitcher's hand. He got thumped by 2 now, once in the arm and once in the leg...... both by the COACH. :dodgy:

He's in his first year of kids pitch. 9-10 yr olds. (5 innings or hour and a half).
Been plunked many times at practice and noe in last two games. Sux that their pitcher is one of hardest throwers in the league.
But yeah. Same scenario. By the time the ball leaves the pitchers hand, he's a foot out the box. This'll be the year that makes or breaks him. There's nothing you or I can do except encourage, practice and hope confidence builds. Pain and fear, IMO, have to be dealt with by the boys. But I'm open to suggestions if you have any.

Thx for the compliments on the jig. I have faith in that one.
Adam.

those blue heads, they're screaming for some baby blue maribou, with a dark blue (same as eyes) chinelle. That'd be sharp.

Out here...
If ya need a test engineer.... I can handle the job! :D You might try craw-daddy chenille and tequila sunrise bou on the left jigs. Also, you might try putting super glue down first, then the eye, then SH and see if that works for ya. JAT

Nice paint. I was kinda hopping some of you artists might pass around some of that stuff in Salty's swap but no interest.
