I tied up a few 1/8 oz round jighead, pp-pearl white w/ black flake, tail is grey marabou and white hackle w/ rainbow flash and the body is CAT's red shad chenille. Had quite a few followers and a few hits and caught 2 rainbow trout. I think they really liked this jig. And I got pics!

How about that? There not too big, about 10 inches. They did put up a good fight. I threw them back. Don't like the taste of trout. Had fun playing with them though!

Nice fish,Heather. I think you should try tying your jigs directly to the line and not use the terminal tackle like the snaps or split shot and you may catch a few more of those followers. If you need the split shot to get deeper put it further up the line away from the jig. I only use the snaps on crankbaits and use crosslocks in the smallest size I can find.

Those are some pretty fish for sure. I'm like you though, give me some crappie to eat. Congrats on fooling them with your jig.
