Last week finally got break in bad weather and went out in boat. Boat motor failed to start but went on trolling motor. Determined later it was bad starter. Three days later starter arrives. Install starter works perfect schedule trip for next day. Motor does not attempt to start again. Switch ( ignition ) is broken plus the solenoid is bad. I can trouble shoot this Mercury in my sleep by now. I can only blame myself though. I hated Mercs because of all the problems I have had with them. Evinrudes and Yamahas were either trouble free or very minor problems. Could not resist the package price a few years back so now I suffer.
Rain ,rain and then again more rain has not detered me. But the flooding and the motor problems has set me back a little. Plus the fact that no one locally has the parts I need. So order and wait until for either parts to get here , floods to recede or both.
One bright side of it though if flooding continues I may not have to leave the house to wet a line.. Anybody got ideas on how to mount a swivel seat on my roof ?
