After seeing Jim's beauties, I almost didn't want to post mine.

I had a few free minutes and decided to give it a go, this is what came out of it..

I used a jig with a collar which I think was a problem, shape wise anyway.
Don't think I used a long enough hackle feather either.

And when I tried tying my wire back over my hackle the wire was a pain to get right.

And I don't think my marabou tail looks that great..

Just wanted to give it a shot though...

After I was done, I walked into my bedroom and found this wooly bugger!

Pretty good for your first try. I actually do a lot of my buggers using collared jigs. Pinch down any barbed collars first and start tying materials where the collar ends. Once you get your marabou, flash and hackle tied in at the tail start your chenille where collar ends and tie back to bend. Wrap a little thicker as you work up over the collar. With practice you won't even tell the difference between the collarless and collared jigs.
