Hell yeah, that will catch some feesh. Don't forget a wet nymph version too. I honestly have more luck (confidence maybe?) in wets rather than dries. Probably just a preference thing more than any other factor. What you tied will get bit.


Keep those blood suckers North of the border if you will! Already got bit by one last week............. nothing but 50° high temps since then though. Got any open water up there yet???

Not sure if I maybe made the wings a bit too long...

I was bit a couple weeks ago too, thought it'd be too cold for those lil buggers still.
It's 50 degrees here too.

Open water is plentiful, and another week or so and it'll be open season.

Actually a perfect time for catfish.

That will catch fish - you'll get better with the hackle. People will argue about wing length - I usually go with 1 1/2 times the hook gape, you don't want the wings to make the fly spin.
