Finally tried some tying

well I broke out the vise and tried some flies to see how bad it was gonna be after not being able to for 2+ years

Wasn't really tying for patterns but just placing materials and hackle wrapping

thanks gang - just got to get the hands to feel more comfortable. and I haven't tried any jigs yet!!! that will tell the story LOL

Fatman, I love the Rio Grande King! That's my #1 fly in one creek I fish for gills. I tie it as a wet fly with chenille (crazy angler black gold) body and kip wing.

Very nice work! I'm sure your fingers will appear thinner soon enough.... ;)

Man o man Doug if you get any trout smoke some that is one of my all time favorites. Nice ties Nicely Done. If you can do them little flies than jig Piece of Cake. Love them Adams. What size???

Adams size 12 - that extended body foam piece I actually screwed up big time by wrapping too tight. Got some powder stuff I want to do this weekend but the wife is a coach for a local swim team and they're heading for a meet Saturday so it's just the dog and me at home!!! I know where most of the jig tying stuff is but I've got a big box of stuff from a couple of fly tying material swaps, so you just may see some new ones!!
