Finally on the water in IL

Spider rigging today....water temp was 43 degrees. Pink flank with green head was by far best. I put wool underneath. Caught over 30 kept 15 which is the limit.

Nice mess of crappie. Pink and chartreuse is a killer combo. Where were you fishing at? I thought Illinois has a two pole limit.

Jungle Jim.....trolling is allowed with three poles unless lake states otherwise. This lake allows then three. My 2nd lake I normally fishes states on lake regs "two rods"! IL Regs do not state spider rigging so when I have been checked by CPO I was good to go on "trolling".

IL has not figured out spider rigging. There was 20 plus boats out and only me and one other boat are actually set up to spider rig with southern tools!!!
