Finally got to pour again

Got in some pouring today and did 1/16th in ball no collar, horsehead, and then some 1/32nd on a size 10 gold Mustad hook (some of the ones I bought from Toad). I also poured some blade baits. I also got to pour my redman style mold!!!!!!

and here's the whole batch, just over 500 total. Took my time and trimmed sprues instead of just pouring and it made for a quick cleanup!!!

And now I gotta get them painted.

What's that crack around the last one on the right?

If you're talking on the redman style head it's not a crack, just a dimple in the lead. Nothing that won't cover up with powder paint!!!

Yeah you got after it. You liking the red sickles?

The sickles are ok, but their quality control sucks!!!! Lenght from eye to bend is different on all of them. I don't know about the quality of the bronze and black ones but hope it's better than the red ones. I don't have many left.

Hate to break it to ya but the other Ones aren't better. Just wallow out your eyelet on the molds and it will solve the problem. It's pretty easy to do also.

Thanks Ron!!!!! That's one thing I'm a major coward of, moding the eye socket!!!!LOL But I'm gonna have to so I don't spend so much time dry fitting hooks before pouring.

Have you tried any of the new EC Black Pearl hooks yet????
