Field Testing Jigs - An Eagle Creek Reservoir, Indianapolis, IN Report (10/29/10)

Spent about two hours this afternoon doing some field testing of my own hand-tied jigs. Did a little inshore casting near Rick's Cafe Boatyard. Fished about six different hair jigs until I found the right one that hooked my only crappie for the day.





On the very next cast, I lost the jig to a snag. I had no replacement for it. Looks like I'll be tying several pinky jigs this weekend.

Nice crappie,I've had very good success with some pink in my jigs.I won't throw a jig unless I have replacements with me. If I had only one I'd lose it for sure.
