What pattern is your favorite or catches the most bluegill? Open to flies as well!

Include head size or hook size
All materials used.

Mine would have to be a 1/64 oz Wooly Jigger.

Estaz body, marabou tail, hackle wraps.
color depends. i like it in a drowning bee or cricket!

A two-tone kip jig has been my most successful jig with bluegill (no bait needed) for many years. Has to fall very slowly in the water and you have to pay close attention..... they can suck it in and spit it out easily if you miss your line or float make any moves.

- 1/64 or 1/80 jig
- 2 to 4 pieces of midge flash, only a little
- black kip on top side
- either orange or yellow kip on lower side (orange is my favorite but have learned both work well)
- black thread neck

Both tied on 1/48oz #10 sickle, Red Thread & Chartreuse or Black Hackle Tail & Yellow Hackle around the body. This was the very first thing I ever tied when I was about 14-15 and it wore the gill's & redear out in the flood pools of Alibates on the lower end of Lake Meredeth North of Amarillo.
