To my Dad, whom I didn't appreciate as much as he deserved when he was around. He was a talented handyman fixing and building everything around our home. Wish I had the custom hand built stock M-1 he crafted - think my Brother might still have it. I still have a few of his hand tools - USA built quality hard to find nowadays. What I think rubbed off on me was his impeccable sense of honesty - always kept his word no matter the cost. Thanks Dad.

Keith sounds like we had fathers that were about the same. My Dad also taught me a good work ethic. At the time I thought he was very hard on me. As I went thur my career I found out it was one of the greatest gifts that he ever could have given me. Miss my Dad allot wish I could have spent more time with him. Still talk to him when I am by my self some times I even get answers to question just not from his mouth but from memories that pop into my mind.

BTW Happy fathers day to all the Dads.

X2 to all of you. I am glad I had a great father also for training with tools and life. We fished and hunted a lot, good times:icon14:.

My Dad...... has put an endless need to make sure ALL is right before i proceed and make any decision. Very meticulous to make sure the details were correct and that everyone was happy before he jumped. Also has a great sense of humor which make all life's tasks more enjoyable. Here's to hoping i can pass on some of the wisdom he gave me to my own children

Happy Father's Day to all.

Keith, nice tribute to your dad.

My dad and me spent a lot of time together working handyman type jobs because there wasn't many things he couldn't do. He worked a full time job but was always going to help fix others problems. While working with him I learned many things from him that at the time I wasn't aware of but his teaching me has helped me do many projects in my own life. Dad passed away in 1985 and we buried him on Fathers Day of that year.
As my children calls or comes to see me today I am reminded how special my time spent with my fathers was. To my dad Jimmy, Thanks for everything - I love you.

Nice words all !!!

Im still fortunate enough to spend time and be able to play a weekly round of golf with my 73 yo father.Heck he's probably in better shape than me ;) ...Matter of fact we have 4 generations playing in just a few minutes..Then back to my house for dinner tonight, with him,all my kids and grandkids, and even the FIL and MIL,both late 70's...gonna be a good one !
