Fall smallies - pix heavy

Here's some from a recent outing on the river - spent 3 days fishing, numbers low but size made up for it. Got most on a home made swim jig, grub jig, & tube jig and a couple on spinnerbaits.

Have some nice brown bass there - looks like some beautiful days on the river too. 5th picture in, looks like she's been gorging! Got to love fall.

Them are some Beauties right there!! I've only caught a handful of smallies in my life and they weren't anywhere near that size. :icon14:

Wow, really nice smallies. I get one that size a year if I'm lucky. How about a picture of some of those baits you've been using to catch those pigs.

I'm fortunate to live in smallie heaven, but also, this is my thing - hunting pig smallies in head rivers of major mid-atlantic rivers. I'm totally obsessed about it. The rods you saw in the pix I built myself. Instead of buying a fishing yak, I prefer to buy a recreational sit on top and modify it with my own designs for anchors, rod holder, and gear storage (and off course, the all important American flag). Here and some of the jigs and baits I pour, then dress with soft plastics look like:
