Found some eyelash yarn at one of the craft shops last week and thought I would try it on a pony head to see how and if it works. First pic is of the jig, second pic is the jig wet and third pic is the finished product :).

Now that's pretty neat. A striped bass caught by an eyelash yarn jig. :icon14: :icon14:

Way to go SH. That's a great-looking tie with a nice choice of yarn. Its flash looks really good to me.

Never thought much about tying on pony heads. However, you've just convinced me. ;)

Thanks guys :) We all have jigs that catch fish but we seem to always keep looking for something new. Got to love tying!!

Hawnjigs, the blade is attached to the swivel with a stainless split ring.

Yes that jig got by without me covering the swivel before painting.. If you look at the wet jig it has no paint on the swivel LOL.

I've seen some of that stuff in the fabric store, but I wasn't sure how well it would hold up. The fibers that stick out seemed to pull out easily. How is the durability under fishing conditions?

It seems to hold up well. I have been looking at it for a while now but like you I also wasn't sure how it would hold up with a fish biting at it. This was the only trip I tried the yarn but I am going to buy a few more colors and have more jigs ready for the fall bite.
