I'm worn and beaten and the only cure is a bayou "ditch" that holds FAT slabs shallow in an early southerly winter.

I love this place. Last time I got to fish it, I didn't do good great numbers wise but the fish have shoulders. Would rather have 15 of them than 25 and 1/2 of my local river fish. Maybeeee even 30. Lately at least… so those numbers are pending the re election…of yalls president.

I've got a 5 hr window of opportunity Sat morn. I have 2 handmade jigs to sink as of now and this to overcome tomor after work to get more done

Will be a lot of uncured eyeless jig heads with unkempt feathers surgically probing lay-downs, cement pylons, wooden pylons, drainage culverts, and the ever do sheisty beaver dam s this sat morn.
Happy Happy Happy

I prob just set myself up for failure.

I'll post prior pics to this place if I fail and pretend they are recent.

Excuse the rant, just excited, which I don't get very often.

Too da Loo

The anticipation is half the fun. I work myself up to the roof before most every day i get off and know i am going to be out on the water. Best of luck..... at getting ready for the trip and for the fishing.

Rog, Haaaa. You're inspirational. It'll be reverse order though. I can't operate in chaos. Just hoping I still get to go.

Ronny, Doug's got you covered. If I were trying to imitate Just COLOR.... A clear off white with slight hint of pink/beige.

A guy Did a cool version on CDC with larva lace. I'll find it and send you a link.

Lost I saw that tie and it was nice!!!!!!!! Was looking on my fly tying board for one a guy did, and it wouldn't be hard to do on a jig. I'll have to see if I can find it.

And you won't. Caught a lousy 4. Gave em to the elderly lady fishing off top of bridge. Wasn't meant to be I s'pose. Don't think I'd've caught a smile if'n I'd filled the cooler or the whole boat anyways. When it pours its grey for a long time around me.

Appreciate all the looks and kind words.
Done for a while.
