I've heard the term many times and even tied a few or so I thought. Anyhow, I tied a couple dozen for a buddy and he said they were the wrong color. He bought what I tied and gave me a sample of what he wanted.

My Version was Yellow Chartruese Head, Pink Body, Yellow Tail
His Version was Electric Blue head, Chartruese Body and Bluw tail.

The variations got me going on a search for the various electric chicken flavors, Here is what I found

Head-Body-Tail
Pink-Yellow-Pink
Pink-Silver-Pink
Pink-Silver- Pink and yellow
Chartruese-Violet-Chartreuse
Violet-Chartreuese-Violet
Red-Green-Red
Green-Red-Green
Blue-Orange-Blue
Orange-Blue-Orange
Yellow-Purple-Yellow
Purple-Yellow-Purple
Silver-Salmon-Chartruese
Yellow-Black-Yellow
and my Favorite a very nicely tied fire tiger pattern
Dark Olive back woven with Yellow to form dark bands on the sides with an orange belly and Black, Chartreuse and orange tail

So what is the right color combo for the electric chicken? Or is it as one writer posted on another site, simply complementary colors from the color wheel?

I normally think of chartreuse green or even a bright fluorescent lime green for Electric Chicken more than I do a yellow chartreuse. But any will get the job done.

Electric chicken is just pink and chartreuse. Any way you wanna do it but those are the two colors.

Chartreuse is what throws everything outta whack. For me a fl yella is better than a green all day every day. But pink is undeniable with it for anything electric chicken related.
