Sometimes, things come to you by accident. I saw a homemade Dubbing Teaser on Warm Water Fly Tyer. I had some Velcro and a dowel so I decided to give it a try. I had wanted to purty the handle up, so I bought different colors of embroidery thread. I was having a hard time getting the thread to work the way I wanted and I remembered buying some Iridescent Cord in the jewelry/craft department. As i unwound it off the cardboard, I noticed the end was frayed. It jumped out at me because looking at the unwound stands reminded me of crystal flash. I was really excited! I wish you could see the colors of this stuff up close. It has 4 silver stands and 4 pale green strands. I tried to take a picture, but the picture doesn't do it justice. Although, I must say, I don't care for it as a handle material for my dubbing teaser, I do love it as a tail on my jig!!!
