Now there is another thing I haven't tried yet, dubbing. I should head off to Youtube and check it out. That is just another type of "body" material to use?

Nice! I need to give them a shot myself. I have a furling board to make leaders that would work just great for it. Very nice brushes! I like that black/red one a lot.

Yup tie it all right to the hook . No problems wrapping it . Do stroke the fibers back with each wrap till I reach the head then tie it off and cut off the remaining brush . Then tease it with velcro or bodkin .

Those are nice!! I have a couple of brushes I ordered and they are not cheap..... What size wire you using. Been thinking on a way to build a jig for making em but I don't use them a lot but the way you made those works just fine :):)

Those look good, got my gears turning. Almost do-it-yourself chenille. I take it the core is a wire - what gauge or size wire are you using?

BLT - Dubbing is pretty much a body material but can also be used for collars too. There are different ways to apply it, here is the easiest - CK3 Tutorial Alot of people will use a thin guage wire as ribbing (counter-wrapped) overtop the dubbed body to help keep it in place but using it as a brush as Crappjgr showed is kind of like doing both steps at once.

The EP brushes are why I thought congo hair. I saw a crawdad/shrimp fly here a few daya ago made with one that was awesome. Some "jig and pig" style jigs with some big brushes could be good. Fox or marabou, flash, rubber legs......

Even when your tying flies wear safety glass's never know when a hook is gonna snap and go flying let alone a jig or even materials getting blown in your face, don't deny it we've all screwed up at one time or another with fans or somebody walking by!!!!!

CJ - I use alot of muskrat for Adams dry flies - you might want to go easy on the thickness you put in before spinning. The thicker you have it the darker is will spin up and it could over power the mink and ice dub.

But I want to see what you come up with, from those 3 materials you could end up with really cool brush's!!!!!
