Used a new finish

Plan to have TM on front port in reach of seat. Dunno. Looking for a "side pulling" bracket, if anyone knows of such that is manufactured.

Iffy about color

BUT, if boat paint comes out right, it'll look good.
If anyone knows a match for Weld crafts charcoal grey I'd appreciate the help. Also, I need an option for a removable transducer/pole bracket.

I'm all ears.

Thx for looking fellas. Trynagetright.

Looks good. I would probably put a second coat of paint on it though and make sure the edges are sealed. With plywood I fill/seal the edges with epoxey then sand smooth for painting. Most paint stores can color match if you have a paint chip or a piece that can be removed and taken in for them to color match. Some auto refinishing stores have aportable unit that they could take to your boat for a color match. It never hurts to ask.

Side mount for trolling motor I dunno. Never seen one so probably something you gotta make but I would envision a triangular shaped mount to distribute force properly.

Side mount transducer bracket should not be a problem, I think HB even has one.

Really interested in the side mounted TM and hope to hear how it works.

Can't help you on a match, but when I 'painted' the wood in my jon, I used marine epoxy. That was 19 years ago & it's still looks good.

HEY MR. G!!!
Thx for looking fellas and for the comments and suggestions.

I did find a few things that COULD work as far as a side mount for TM, but very pricey.

This was the best option, but more than I need as far as functionality ( which's prob a reason for the price).

The town legend has his set up with just a couple welded plates similar to what kdog mentioned, so I'll prob go that route and just remove it after n bf use.

It's gon be a long process, but all good things come with money and time.
Plus I still have the lil tin iffin I wanna brag about fish.....
