As the heads for my "deadly ducks " are in short supply. I fancied the basic pattern up with different heads. I can't see them being more effective than the deadlies. But they do shoot the " purdy " factor up a mite.

JungleJim suggested that almost all heads are effective with the duck flank fedders. So I went off on a tangent of course.

Papa I don't think that it makes much difference what head you use. I use the Redman's head and slap do well with it. I have done them on minnow heads and rounds heads with equal results. In looking at your jigs they will do well. Would suggest that you add a little hackle fibers to your jigs and you will have to tie them on behind a tree. The fish won't be able to stay away from them. Do a search of JungleJims Flash Ducks. His Flash Ducks, a couple of jigs I brought down from Iowa, one that is popular on this lake, and one I that I developed for our lake that is a Red's Satin and JJ's Flash Duck jig cross is about all I tie any more. If something ain't broke don't try to fix it.
