some side pocket feathers off of a gadwal drake a little different vermiculation than mallard

secondary flight feathers off of a green winged teal. thought it might add a little flash to a gill jig, maybe look like a dragonfly

Both look pretty neat. The gadwal looks like it has some tight packed barred lines. The GW Teal really catches my eye, reminds me of the color of peacock herl eyes - that should be excellent for the bluegill!

Look great. I saw some flank float n fly jigs at BPS the other day I have to tie. $2 plus each just doesn't work for me when I have a bag of feathers at the house. Nice work.

the gadwall feather is on a jig that is 1/16th with a #2 hook

the teal feathers are on a jig that is 1/64th with a #8 hook, much larger in the picture.

I like the tail on the second one. For the chenille to go with that tail on the 1/64 I'd use the #3 Mardis gras or the #0 brimbuster that crazy sells.Those colors would be killer with that tail.
