Hey guys, does anyone know where to get a set of saltwater/big fly jaws for a Danvise? The 1/2 and 5/8 oz jigs I am wanting to work up arent holding too well in the standard jaws I have. I've seen rumors of them, but haven't found anywhere to buy them.

Option #2 is going to be buy the saltwater jaws for my Peak and just swap em out when I need to tie the big boys....

Just get one of the old cast iron Herters vises . They are just a side lever action and will hold an anvil . I have 2, been hooks 9/0 tied on them all sizes and a bunch . Couldn't even say how many over the years .

Zac would have to go with Jim's suggestion. Those old Thompson's are a darn hard vice to beat. Have one of the old Herter's vice and can do about any thing with them. From a size 18 to 4/0. and will hold in place so that you can do what needs to be done.

The one on FAOL is the Modern Model A vise. I'd still rather have the Original Thompson and JSC is right the old round knob vise by Thompson is hard to beat

It takes like 3 minutes to change the jaws out.
