Crazy glue/ Sally's HAN rxn?

I Put a dab of glue on a few finished jigs under the chenille behind the head on my finish and after about 15 seconds they start smoking mildly and the jig heads heated up. Quit 5 seconds later. This normal?
I usually just use some thinned lacquer thatll soak down w/o hardening the chenille much, but since I've got some shops wanting them, I'm trying to make sure they NEVER fall apart. The glue sux and leaves a hard spot. Am I being too anal?
Better suggestions?

Never had one smoke, or atleast never noticed it...

Yep if you are using nylon thread and super glue . Acetates like super glue react with several types of thread.

I use Flex Seal that comes in the applicator bottle. I've never had one come untied.

They were tied w/ mono.

The only thing I've ever tried was Lock-Tite. But then I usually don't use anything even on my flies, just a 3 or 5 turn whip finish.
