Cool Crappie Jig

Here is what I call a cool crappie jig, I call it cool as my buddy called me up and told me that the cool crappie jig I tied for him was really getting it done today. I took a pic of the jig before I gave it to him but I never posted it as it was pretty pedestrian but now that it got a thumbs up I figured I'd show it off. This is a 1/16oz walleye head painted black with a size #4 hook, it has white buck tail and ghost pearl flash for the tail and a body of pearl cactus chenille, nothing more to it.

Great job SJ....that is one of my favorite body colors....Down here I have to tie it with a chart tail...but a great combo !

Keep it simple usually works well. Can see why that would. Is a favorite chenille of mine too, have a couple different sizes.

Three colors and combinations there of or in solid form that are a must . Black ,chart. , white . Generally will get the fish . I got to put a little red in there somewhere though . If I don't it just feels like I'm leaving the house with no underwear on . If I were you I'd tie a few more of those up . Pretty sure you're going to need them .
