Has anyone tried any of the clear coats from Columbia coatings??? And if so do they cure roughtly the same as ProTec?? The prices per pound are really good.

I haven't used the clear but I do use other colors from them and they cure the same as the protec, the only thing I do different is protec I cure at 35o for 20 minutes and the columbia coatings paint I cure at 375 for 20 minutes. They come out just as hard as the protec but the colors I have recommend 400 for 15 minutes and that scares me so I go a little lower and add some time to it and it works great.

The clear coat changes the hue of some colors for me. Like the green turns a little yellow-ish where the paint is thinner at the blending are where colors meet. I hope I explained that right lol. Also, there were some green specs on the white. Can't explain it.

Watch for any of that powder paint being left open . It is subject to static electricity and will collect particles from the air . I.E. blowing glitter you don't see . dust weird things like that .
