I know this is an endless discussion but I think I got a new twist and possibly a discovery. Does age of fisherman determine color preference.

I was reading some posts on another site and someone was using purple worms as a favorite crappie bait. Something clicked and sent be back to the days when I started using plastics and more artificial baits in general.

Go to colors back then motor oil worm, manns purple (grape) jelly worm
beetle spin with yellow and black split tail grub, then chartruese mister twister grub, Johnsons silver minnow and would not be caught dead without the following
White rooster tail
Black Rooster tail
White with Black Dots ABU spinner
Red ABU Spinner
Red/White daredevil sppon
Black Jitterbug
Frog Hula popper

Now we have so many colors, textures, enhancements glitter, flash, etc
that I gotta wonder does our age affect our color selection.

I'm in my mid 50's and Chartruese, White, Black, Red and a few years back added pink and a watermelon that is close to the old motor oil color.

Just wondering if others are willing to post a general age and color preference.

Looking forward to your responses.

32 here. I have my confidence colors but if they don't work I have everything else too. if I don't have it, they don't make it. it literally looks like a rainbow puked on my work bench.

Mid 50's here also and my go to colors are
Heads - black, blue, orange and chart
bodies - black, orange, yellow, blue, junebug and white
tails - black, white, chart and purple

These are my first go to colors but there are days that a little color change will make the differance of putting fish in the boat so I'm not tied to no colors.
