I am not sure, we usally get snow after 3-4 days of 40 degree weather, the snow turns to slush, the temperature drops and we still get an icy mess!

jbdesigns - Actually....... i envy the early ice you get a tad. May be because my ice fishing seasons are so short and un-predictable here in Ohio. Need to get my humminbird flasher charged up! Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow. :)

I love Ice fishing, almost more than in a boat, almost.
Since making my own spoons jigs and tear drops I have even more excitement to get out!

It's turned CCCCold here in Deep East Texas. 27 the other night and 40 degree high yesterday. Today it was warmer got up to 45. Wood stove going good and coffee pot is always on. Crappies will be going on the rampage. We went to 75 to 80 degree weather last week to freezing weather this week. Last week Tomatoes were ripening on the vine this week all the tomato plants are dead. Well the collards will be tasting better now that we have cold weather.

Cathie in Hawaii mentioned she heard that the massive arctic weather system impacting much of the country is actually the reconfigured remnant of one of the hurricanes that hit the islands, then continued north over Alaska before dropping south?

anybody got some spare rain???????

I should say yes, since it rains all the time out here, but the rivers are still super low and the news is reporting we are still in a drought.

Not sure what's happening to all that rain water, but my lawn's been happy this year

Mid-teens today in DC with the wind chill. How about I'll trade you some rain for the sunny CA temps?
