The wife was watching me as I looked for cheaper prices on the clear jars (actually cheaper shipping charges), and finally said quit wasting time and just order them!!! So I got a case of 36 - 3oz. jars with lids from Uline. I should be set for a while!!!

You need to find someone w/ a newborn.

Jars are free.

Homebrew community uses them to store yeast in for beer.

I have a bunch of glass jars but most are different sizes and don't have any friends with babies anymore. Just placed an order the other day for a couple cases myself and hope to get everything organized a little better.

One thing I've found with them is don't try putting a label on them they always seem to come off. I write everything on the lid.

I was looking on craigslist for baby food jars, and ended up paying $50 for almost 300 jars of baby food, 20 boxes of baby oatmeal and other boxed goods.

I found these at a local Medicine Chest Pharmacy

for $.25 each. They hold 2-3oz of powder with an air tight lid, just right for my custom mixes

as well as working jars for the stock colors I buy

I use baby food jars too but want to get plastic ones too if I can find tyem.cheap enough. the glass jars work in a pinch but plastic jars are easier to dip into and seal.better.
