Myself and a friend hit the lake at 7am and this was the first day without wind I remember fishing this year! Water was hard stained and since I left my depth finders at home :@ I had to fish a new place the old way of not knowing the depths and watching the shore line for drops and flats. The bite was slow and we spent all day changing colors and baits to keep the fish coming into the boat. Between my tied jigs and plastics we were able to put 22 keeper crappie, 3 - 13'' white perch and 1 - 16'' bass in the well.
Temp was 45 degrees when we started fishing and topped out at 82. First sunburn of the season, just so the guys up north knows it's getting hot down here

Thanks guys. Hawns the colors would surprise you. We used every color in the rainbow and all seemed to catch one or two. As the sun got high colors like Tenn Shad, blue shad, chart shad and most of the translucent colors worked. I tell you, all my clear lake jigs caught fish in that brown water. Strangest thing I ever seen. This jig color I came up with a few years ago to fish that lake and I call it Clarks Hill Shinner. Doesn't work well in clear water but you drop in in some stained water and it stands out.

Rad most of the lakes around here has whites and black crappie but Clark Hill Lake has the best mix and you tend to catch both in the back waters of the lake.
This is the biggest white I caught yesterday. Caught it on a black-gold/chart slider.

Nice catch Ronnie, it's been a windy spring for sure. Y'all's water temps are quite a bit cooler than ours. Ours is around 65 degrees now and the crappie are spawning.
