Got some time to fiddle. Nothing spectacular but did learn to make colored chromes. Sure you could prob buy them as so.
I bought a bonded chrome paint a while back that I really found no use for after I tested it. Just looked like a shiny unpainted jig head… not the chrome I was looking for, which I haven't seen unless they were dipped.
BUT low n behold! Mix it w/ a color, bunches of clear, and it'll "chromotize" nicely. Or at least I think so. They're highly reflective.
Had a black chrome but was just about out so I tried it w/ black first. Pretty darn close. Blue… even better. Gon keep playing.

That sucks - have a couple containers (would guess 4 or 5 ounces worth) of mixes that i consider re-jects once i actually tried painting with them. I dump them together seperated by generally dark or genneraly light colors and have actually used the 'junk' mix a few times on jigs that i wanted mute or drab colors on.

The blue chrome looks sweet too...... wonder if it will only work with darker colors as the starting point. I will drink a beer in honor of your loss as well. If you want bright orange, mix equal parts yellow chartruese with pink. ;) Just do it in a small test batch first!!! :beat-up:
