Made up a few more pig style baits. Broke down and bought a pack of EC 410 O'Shaugh #1 hooks on my last trip to Netcrafters and found some larger clam shots that are bigger, maybe ~3/16 oz. I like these hooks ALOT better than the plain shanks i had been using, have a much longer shank and the proportions just look better to my eye. These will be mostly used for swimming retrieve rather than hopping or dragging bottom. The sili skirt lays back around the whole thing when it is moving giving it a very large profile and just barely twitching it in the process makes the tail kick pretty good. Used more craft for than usual to keep the tail full bodied in the water. My river is now completely blown out - came up 7' with the rain yesterday - so will either have to try these in still water or wait till next year on the river.
