got a couple of places that looks just like that here. Nothing holds crappie this time of year like them bald cypress trees. I love the little streams and bayous. love it when the crappie go very shallow and you can catch them in less than a foot of water.Seems like they are angry this time of year for they hit so hard. They really do thump a jig good.

When you find one hiding in the skin of your neck, you look every time afterwards. Oak moss is a good place to get em.
Doubt yours is more wildly then mine and I just trimmed, jungleman.

Good looking jigs and fishin hole for sure LP! Looks like East Texas back water to me. I prefer fishin back water and the assorted snakes. Had to make sure none went for a boat ride with ya! Over here you have the sand ticks and have to put up with damn scorpions........

Nice jigs without a doubt!!! Nice find on the tick...lol... I have no hair on my head but a bunch on my chin and I would freak out if I found on in my beard. The two things I can do without in back water, ticks and deer flies, those things will follow you for miles once they taste your blood.

Great ties Adam!! I sure miss paddling the ole pirogue around the swamps!! Nothing more beautiful than a cypress lined bayou and watching a cork slide under the surface next to a knee! Thems were the days brother!!

You need some color in your life - where's the pink??? Does look like a beautiful place, would love to get back in there with my kayak. I have the chance to paddle through and fish a (man made) flooded forest on occasion, but it is far from a swamp.

.......and i HATE ticks. Nasty, good fer nothing things.
