Were is the best place to get buisness cards made ? Thanks

I looked online at Vista and they have good prices, but I couldn't design my card the way I wanted, so I went to wal-mart, picked up a print master software and put in the computer and came up with on design. Been love'in it ever since and so does everyone esle who had recieved one of my cards.

I used Vista a few months back. I had to trick their layout to get it like i wanted. I was happy for the price.

What do you need your business cards to do? I'm a freelance writer, and my clients are businesspeople and mid-sized corporations, so I use business cards in my mailouts and while networking in person. If you need your materials to make a positive impression on professionals, don't try the do-it-at-home method. If it's just something to pass out for advertising your jig tying and you only need a few cards, the home printing route might be OK.

I use Vistaprint for my business cards. I just used their stock designs, but you can also create your own and upload the image to the site. If you want to design it yourself, you can also have cards printed locally at places like Kinko's or OfficeMax.

I made my own for the tackjle stuff, but Shoemoo has a very good point. If I was doing Corp. type of work, I would go with a pro.

Little tip for you people that tying is a side business....don't know how you package your stuff, and the labels you make, but I print all my stuff out myself. Look for a local sheet fed printing company and ask if they have extra stock you can buy. You may have to cut it down to printer size, but I got about a 7 years supply of 80# number 1 brite sheets for FREE. Even if you have to pay scrap paper prices for it, still a bargain. Maybe trade the manager/owner tackle for it.
Sheet fed printers use anything from high coated down to Matte stock.

I print my own.

I work with both PhotoShop (Elements) and CorelDraw as a screen print artist mostly.... and alot of you would be suprised with what you can do with decent paper from an office store, a cheap inkjet printer and a good (high res) graphic file. PS Elements cost around $100 and has a learning curve but is the sh!t when it come to DIY graphics - sure beats the $700+ that the full version of PS costs and does all you need for inkjet printing.

If you need color seperation for large scale business printing - get the full version of PS or Corel and farm it out. Go local - local small business (print shops) everywhere are close to extinction and need all the orders they get......... most times they can darn near match the price of the online place once you figure in tax & shipping. Face-to-face customer service is always prefered in my book also. :)

Have seen the VistaPrint comercials and 250 cards for $10 is a hell of a deal. Just make sure it is what YOU want before you press that 'order' button!!! ;)

Attica.. I also use the Photoshop Elements. It's an old version from the late 90's I think, but it serves my purpose well. Love it. I hope to get a new 'puter this year, and hope that version will load and run on the new O.S, because I am slow at new Tech, I am still using windows XP. My puter is like 8 years old lol.

Same for me, mine has a © 1989-2001 :D I actually have obtained 3 other newer versions on PS Elements and tried them out on different computers - running versions of Windows XP, Vista & Win7....... DO NOT waste your $100 on getting the new version of PS Elements!!!! The software pulls so much memory it will make you computer drag a$$ and cause you to throw things. ;) PS is originaly an Adobe (Apple/Mac) product so maybe it runs smoother on their operating system?

The older PS Elements version i have does work just fine on Windows 7.

I bought my old version on Amazon.com for like $5 lol. I only use about .01% of what it can do, so why bother getting the newer version.
Years ago, printing Companies would spend couple $100,000 on that software to work up pictures and such before printing. My how times change.
