Buck Tail Jig

AtticaFish's post today inspired me to do a Bucktail Jig

Painted a few jig heads tonight and managed to Ty one jig.
So far that is.

Very impressed with the colouring of your jig heads, especially the one on the right, which I think you used for the jig in your 'Blue' post. I struggle to get decent coloured jig heads, certainly multi coloured ones.
I like your bucktail jig too. Simply tied but neat and I am sure effective.

That's finger nail polish. I took and painted on a base coat of white, then coated in a funky color polish that I got from dollar tree, then the final coate is called hard candy. It has plastic circles in it. It doesn't brush on well, you have to dab it. I got the idea from Steve on here. When I get home, I'll get more info for you.

Thanks for the info. I will have a go using nail polish. My granddaughters have offered to give me some of their old stock to experiment with.
Just one more question, when you use " a base coat of white" I normally use an enamel paint, will that be OK? Or is the base coat of white a form of nail polish?
