Well.... Yesterday had plans to go out with a guy from another forum and try to put a whooping on some big Slabs.... Got to the launch... put the boat in the water and started it up... no problems.. Went to put it in gear....UH OH!! no forward or reverse.....Ended up fishing the bridge pilings with the trolling motor with not any success...1 Crappie.
Got home early, and went to tearing the motor apart, and found a broken drive shaft!!! Just Great!!! So my beautiful wife went to looking on the internet, and found one for 200.00$ and ordered it. Should be here thursday or friday. Guess I'll be doing some bank fishing somewhere til then.
I'll be so glad when its time to go get a new boat..... shouldn't be too much longer! Tired of fighting that old thing!!

It was my dads boat, and when he passed about a year and a half ago... My mom gave it to me... He hit lots of stumps with it!!! I just got it running back in September, and haven't hit anything with it... It was broken off in the gears on the bottom... almost surgically!!
New boat is probably gonna be a Skeeter as well.... Probably a ZX 200..

I had an ol 60HP Rude that sheared one just that clean about 6 miles from the landing across the mouth of the river .... Usein the Trollin Motor .. went about 2 miles turning up river and got a tow before the battery ran out ... Just running straight out and it went..
