My wife just got a job working for Arkansas Valley Feather which is part of Zucker Feather Company. It is based here in our town. She is head of their Art department and does graphic design and product photography for their website www.featherplace.com. Now I'm totally fine with her bringing her work home. :D:icon14: BRING ME THE FEATHERS MAMMA! :P

Not a bad connection to have, I'd think. Employee discounts? Gratis samples? Voluntary product testing?

Not bad, not bad at all... :t-up: :Banane09:

Oh heck yeah! Looks like they have a section of their site set aside for us tiers also. Squirrel tails are a good price and lots of colors. Some of the chenille looks to be interesting...... too bad they don't sell it in smaller quantities. They have the strung furnace hackles i look for every time i go to the craft store.

Maybe there will be a FRIENDS and family discount. :p

The company started out as a Fly Fishing Company. It was originally called Hobbs FlyFishing. When the original owner approached the Cargill Turkey plant wanting the feathers from the turkeys people thought he was Crazy. He turned it into a big money operation. It has since changed hands and continues to get bigger and bigger. Products are sold worldwide. Its my understanding that they can hardly keep up with the demand from China. My wife said she can buy any of their products at the discounted prices. All I could say to her was "Hook Me Up" :D I thought the job was strictly a Graphic design position. If I would of known it was a photography position as well I would of applied for it myself. I encouraged her to apply cause she has more of a graphic design background. Either Way we are both happy.

Here's something to drop in the "Suggestion Box", Maybe they could do something like Rosey's did with the Powder Paint for us tier's and have a "Build your own Dozen" package of Hackle Pads. $20 a dozen isn't bad if you could mix & match colors.
