C'mon Put em' up, put em' up.

Laughing!!!! No, I'm not trying to make a boxing jig. I'm trying to replicate a craw dad and I'm failing miserably. Back to the drawing board. Just wanted to give you a laugh!

Aaaaahahahaha! Love it and agree....... betting it might catch a few. Maybe adapt to a smaller pound mono and those eyes will turn into legs and be a little more flexible.

Eyes out the front would be great for a craw in offense status, but they are likely moving in reverse & in defense mode once prey is after them. Like i said though...... i still like it and think it has potential with more supple mono.

Excellent idea, Attica! This was 40lb test. Those are little pearl beads I used for eyes. I tried burning the mono and shaping the eyes with my fingers, but all I did was burn my fingers and make a mess.

Its a good start, its fun to experiment with different things. I like Attica's idea. Switch the mono to the ass end of the jig and swap the marabou with something more shaped like two hackle tips (for claws).

The burnt mono is great for eyes. Don't try to shape them with your fingers. Let them cool and then add a drop of nail polish which will self level and make for perfectly round eyes. May take a few coats or different color to get what you want.
I like doing shrimp and crabs with crimped nylon.
