Went shopping with the wife today (looking for a new coat) and the store we were going to also had one of my fly shops and Michaels.

Well we got there and the Fly Shop was GONE!!!!!!!! Guy at the coat store told me where they moved to. Picked up some stuff at Michaels - especially the Pearl ex pigment powder set.

Got over to the fly shop and the wife says I'm going to check out another store in the mini mall we were at and only said you have your card??? Yep!! then "just don't kill it"!!!!!!!!!! then she says just don't go nuts!! Looked at the DK Traveler and told her what it cost and she was that's not too bad.:huh::huh:

So here's everything

Still in the store!!! I told her that if I was going to go to a rotary I'd spend alot less and get a Peak.

Pepop - yeah I know about the eyes - the eyes and the whiting hen neck were in the clearance bucket at 50% off, they cost me $8.50.

Thanks Pepop

Jig Man - This is my first Dr. Slick bobbin (at 30% off) it was worth trying it. I prefer the Griffin ceramic bobbins but we'll see how this one works out.

Yea, I really like my griffin magnum... I have a couple of cheep ones so I don't have to change spools all the time, but they aren't even close.

Good deal FM!!!! Gotta love the clearance bins but I have to have the cash, my wife fears what would happen if I used a card...lol. Nice haul though and congrats for keeping your composure, I would have had more and if you begin to tie on a rotary vise you'll never go back!!! My Griffin isn't expensive but man it holds the hooks and the rotary feature is such a pleasure that I would be lost with a stationary vise now.

+1! I'v only had my Peak for 24hr & tied about a dozen Jigs on it & I don't know how I managed without it the many weeks since I started tying. LOL!

Nice haul Doug. :) I think I have 16 bobbins and still never have the right color thread loaded. Anything tying, you can never have enough.

Thanks Stump - I was gonna get more but he was out of my favorite griffins, and there was no way I was getting any of the Terra ceremic bobbins, one of my buds on fly tying boards warned me they were junk.

And I agree with you no matter what thread you have loaded you turn to something to tie and you have to load one up!!!!! ticks ya off LOL
