Most of my forceps barley cover the hook eye so I started searching for something better. I found some nice ones but price was outrageous. So put it on the back burner.
A while back, I found a vendor on ebay that had alost exactly what I was looking for. Nylon forceps. Good for 450 degrees.

I bought them from the above link and had the opportunity to try them this afternoon. All I can say is WOW.
They cover the hook eye very well. are easy to open and close and as long as you do not get outrageous with heating, pp paint dont even stick to them. Not sure about durability but you get a bunch for the money. I also used them to hold several strands of flash and they work great for that often frustrating task.
The metal forceps and scissors arent too shabby either. The scissors are blunt nosed, but that could be fixed by grinding, but I tried them as is and cut thread, synthetic hair, braid line, flash and got nice clean cuts on all. Finger holes are a bit small for my taste but they are very functional.
