And, FM, which of your gazillion ties is the most productive?

I've mostly used polished brass with acceptable results, but the shiny flash dulls over time, especially in salt water.

Maybe KISS is just an excuse for lack of creativity...

Back to the prop blades, Boolie originator JiggerJohn has always preferred "gold", which actually refers to the color appearance of polished brass. The small size Worth mfg. supposed genuine gold plated fly props are excellent, but I've been wondering if the larger sizes are the grooved type which may not spin properly on larger beads necessary to slide over hook barbs?

So far nickle in the small size has worked the best for me. I bought 1000 each in nickle, brass and gold. I havn't fished the real gold one's yet but they are shinier than the brass "gold" props. Cost was over 3x as much as the brass. Also picked up some medium white, green and flame red blades that I'll be tying soon I hope.
