Some great looking bodies there! When Red ties these, tho, he takes about a 1 1/2" wool section, maybe 1/4"(or less) in diameter, then ties in its center and folds back on itself. Then he tugs quite hard to shape it(and tear out loose fibers), but not more than about 3 seconds effort, and get the wool fibers flowing together. He also doesn't extend it too far beyond the bend of the hook, as a MAJOR FUNCTION of the wool is to serve as the underbody which expands outward to hold the main attraction, the satin fibers, in position for best swimming. Red uses more satin fibers and flash materials than any I've seen recently posted, to the point that an untrained eye would not even be able to detect wool in the mix ! In water, the satin fibers hugs the wool form, and if extended properly ,overlap beyond the wool to form a very active, fish attracting" minnow tail" .
