After my dismal performance this weekend on the big lake,Id about decided to hang up the rods for a while....

Son called last night and offered to take me golfing this morning...Only morning time we could get was an 8:00....Little early for me but since he was treating I had to take him up on it.... Had a couple missed calls from my long time fishin bud while we were playing but finally called him back after we were done ,little after 12:00..

"Hey lets go to the tank this afternoon" (yes the one of John Deere fame)

Me: I really shouldnt,Ive been out of town all weekend,played golf this AM,and really need to get the yard work done on my last day off..So.... an hour later were on the road for another 350 mile round trip.When you live in the boonies we do drive for 5 1/2 hours to fish for 3......But this time it was well worth it..

Any guess's where Im headed ?

Or whats in there ?

Caught many doubles in the past,but this was probably my best one ever...Pics dont do them justice,but a 15 on top and a 14 on bottom...:Banane09::Banane44::cheerleader:

Ill get a cooler pic in the am,,,dont have them strength to get out there and clean em tonight... 29 keeps,3 throw backs....several dozen BIG BG's and 11 LMB's...My kind of quick trip.....

Ok Rad. That 350 mile drive was well worth it. Any time you can get a 15 and a 14 on the same line same time. Just hope that it starts here shortly. I am drooling all over the keyboard. and will go to bed tonight thinking of a double like that.

Shore wish that tank was a little closer to home...Didnt get back home till after 11 last night.A lesser employee wouldt have even gone to work after a 3 day vacation like that !!!

Those stick-ups sure look inviting! Glad you found the fish. Can not imagine driving that far to hit a lake. How big is it? .......... and i complain about driving an hour to get up to Lake Erie. :blush:
