I recently got some Spirit River "Deep See" aluminum dumbbell eyes to try out.... I've got a theory that needs tried out. Also got some #4 Matzuo sickle octopus hooks to pair with them. I have a different baitfish pattern in mind for these eyes, but had to try a basic Clouser minnow.....

Nice Zac - your not thinking of dinging yourself in the head using this on the fly rod are you!!!!!!LOL

I could ALMOST throw this one with my 3-wt if I tried..... 5wt should be a piece of cake. I throw a size 1 Clouser with lead eyes with my 5-wt quite often! Open loops and sidearm casts!

Thanks for the comments, guys....I have a couple other ideas up my sleeve yet!

Already have some - when the craze was going on he helped me alot with the wings and lots of advice. Mine are okay to fish with but not show or frame quality!!!!!!!!! Just need more time to work with them.

Liking that clouser - i'm thinking there are some shad in your future.

Back of my head tingles when i cast dries every once in awhile...... can't help but cast out of whack when i see a b.gill rise to the left when i was going to cast to the right and try to adjust mid-swing. :dodgy:

Shallow crappies! Big bait, big fish, hard hitting. (We'll see if it actually works)

And yes, we have all hit ourselves getting overly excited to cast to those gills rising right at dark! Hahaha
