I really like eyes, they look like an owl to me. Just found glow in the dark thread, posibities endless. Should have grabbed some paint while I was there too.

WOW is right....... double wow. Beaver tail plastics can be awsome but they don't hold a candle to these. Head shape goes well with the whole tie too. Have a feeling you could really thump some bass and walleye/saugeye by sweeping these off the bottom.

I have a question. Sorry if it's stupid. Do you use the epoxy to seal the nail polish on the head? thanks, Jim

Thank you for your comments everyone. :)

I'd really like to try them on a few walleye, saugeye, or sauger.  They are intended to be 'worked' on retrieve and are not 'do-nothing' baits.  There is a nice pivot point on the leather in between the wide, flat tail and the hook bend to provide a 'swinging gate' or 'hinge' movement.

Exactly.  The eyes and paint are sealed by the epoxy.

Hey, that's a critter ;-)

Hookup,

Thanks for the encouragement.  I'm going to have to pass on the swap.  Just have too many commitments coming up soon where the duration of my  involvement is unknown.

Aren't leeches blind?

That said, I think the glow eyes and silver flash tail might significantly enhance visual bite attraction. And the leather might be far more durable than soft plastic, assuming you don't snag break on the first cast.

Hawn,

I agree with your points about the eyes and glitter.  I intend to fish these across marl and gravel bottoms of lakes.  River versions will include wire guards in the future.

Pup, I got some tulip beads in a bottle is it the similar to what you use? Couldn't find and strait puffy paint.

F&F,

I've never used their 'Beads In A Bottle' product, so I really can't comment about it.  For eyes, I use their 'Slick' and 'Glow' products.  For jig bodies and tails, I use their 'Puffy' product.  All of these products are readily available in my area.  Sorry that I can't be of more help here.

Nice work Pup, those look awesome... hey, you ever fish Geist Lake?

Thank you JM. :)

I've never fished Geist.  However, I'm aware of those who do successfully.  If you would like more info about this, then please shoot me a PM.  I'll be glad to pursue it further for you.

Planning a visit? :)

Out here...
Hey Pup,
Yes sir, my bride and I will be in town in the near future for our Grandson's birthday #2. Not sure if I will be able to squeeze in a little fishin, and it may be to cold fer me anyway. I was watching G3 Sportsman the other day and Scott was fishing there with Tom Hankins. It was just a thought, and thank you for the reply....
